About the store
24 years of teaching experience from 4th grade in Guadalajara, Mexico to teaching all levels of high school English (grade level and ability level) in North Carolina. I have taught English Language Learners, Advanced Placement (Literature and Language), Exceptional Children, and am certified ELL, English, and reading k-12. I have been a co-teacher both as the special education teacher and the general education teacher. I worked three years as a full-time beginning teacher mentor and designed curriculum and training for the district. I am currently a graduation coach in the arena of dropout prevention in addition to a reading specialist. I was an EC resource teacher for three years. I also served as EC department chair. I have worked at the community college teaching developmental English. I have five years of experience working as a textbook evaluator, ensuring that textbooks are appropriately differentiated, visually appealing, standards-aligned, and accessible.
