Hi, I am Julie from Llama with Class. Here you’ll find cross-curricular, engaging, and differentiated resources for upper elementary students so that you can make every teaching moment count without spending hours planning.
This is my sixteenth year teaching. I am currently teaching fourth grade, but I have also taught third grade and worked as a reading and math interventionist for grades 1-4. I love using cross-curricular, differentiated, and engaging resources with my students. But, the reality is that it can take a while to create cross-curricular, differentiated, and engaging lesson plans, and they seldom come from the teaching basals provided by districts.

Teaching style
I try my best to connect different subject areas and find connections that happen naturally within my curriculum. I love when a science theme can be used to study a new ELA concept or when it can be incorporated into math. I believe that these connections help facilitate learning and give additional practice throughout the day.
I love when students are challenged and have to use higher level thinking skills. I look for fun ways to keep my students engaged and keep them thinking!
My own education history
I have my Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I love teaching and learning as they go hand in hand.
