Jenny Ballif has worked as a molecular biologist and a wildland firefighter, and at several jobs that fall in between wearing a lab coat and wielding a chainsaw. She earned the nickname "Science Mom" in 2013 when she volunteered to do weekly science experiments for her son's second-grade class. Since then she's visited more than 1,000 classrooms and produced more than 200 videos for her educational YouTube channel. She creates science courses with her partner, Math Dad.
