About the store
I think I always knew I was going to be a teacher, and I've been lucky enough to be connected to education in many different ways all over the world! I taught ESL classes when I was a university student in South Africa and in South Korea for 6 years after I graduated. I taught English classes at several businesses in Germany, summer camps in Italy, Turkey, Germany, and England, and spent 8 wonderful years teaching early childhood in Hawaii.
I LOVE everything related to language acquisition. Whether that's teaching other speakers English or teaching native speakers phonics, it's all very interesting!
My other passion has to lie in pre-kindergarten. Finding creative ways to teach and explore new themes energizes me. I never would've imagined that I'd land in a 4-year-old class, but it filled my cup in a way I just didn't expect!

My own education history
I was a drama major and completed my post-graduate degree in directing, specializing in musical theatre. I then went on to complete an ESL teaching certification in both school-aged English language instruction and business English.
In 2015 I completed my Orton Gillingham training and became a certified classroom educator.
