About the store
I went to the University of Dallas and majored in Elementary Education. I did my student teaching in a 2nd grade class, and got my first teaching license in Texas. After college I joined a service teaching program called PLACE Corps in Los Angeles. I got my second teaching license in California and taught Kindergarten there for three years while working on a Master’s degree in Reading Instruction at Loyola Marymount University. Next, I took a job in Arlington, Virginia teaching 5th grade English/Language Arts and Social Studies for two years. After that, I switched schools and taught 3rd grade at another school in the same county for three years. Finally, I took a position as a Reading Specialist at another school (still in the same county) and that’s what I’m doing now!
