This is my eighth year in the classroom! For the first three years, I taught a self contained third grade class in Lexington, KY. For the past five years, I have been teaching fifth grade reading also in Kentucky.
Hands-on, minds-on learning with the integration of Common Core State Standards; learning is an interactive process. I believe that we are all life-long learners. I always try to share my passion for learning with my students and hope they are able to foster that same passion.
Graduating summa cum laude for my undergraduate and graduate degrees.
I graduated in 2010 from the University of Kentucky with my Bachelors degree in K-5 Elementary Education. December 2015, I graduated from University of the Cumberlands with my masters and specialization as a K-12 Literacy Specialist.
My name is Mandy and I have been happily married for going on five years. I have a one year old named Brantley! We have two other "kids" (dogs), Max and Peyton. My husband is a self employed entrepreneur who loves life as much as I do. In our free-time we love being outdoors, camping, and laughing... a lot! Teaching is a passion of mine and I look forward to sharing resources with you that you can use in your own classroom!
