The number line is a geometric “model” of all real numbers. We know that kids are often able to recite the numbers—“counting,” —before they can actually count objects correctly, one-to-one. This is why number lines are such a wonderful model in supporting the counting of objects as well as the proper writing of numbers. We use them particularly for our inventory units. As well as supplements for other math workplaces or supports.

This is a list of high frequency words that can be used for a classroom word wall and/or word building activities. Intended for kindergarten and 1st grade. These words you should cut around the shape of letters to help with visualizing how the words look. Remember to back them with a solid color so that they words both easy to see and easily identified.
