TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the past eighteen years, Lois has been successful in meeting the myriad of learning skills and strategies required by children with literacy and learning difficulties. To this end, she has developed a wealth of experience with tried and tested methodologies based on current didactical, pedagogical and learning research. She has a Masters Degree in Literacy Education through Massey University and is a C-grade tester registered with the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER). Lois is an assessor for SPELD and is qualified and experienced in administering the WJIII Tests of Cognitive Abilities and Achievement.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Lois' mantra is "with effort you can learn anything". She believes that effective teaching is a mediated learning experience and that structural cognitive modifiability is achievable for all. Helping students to achieve their full potential is at the heart of her motivation.
