Experience

Hi! I’m Rebecca, and I create resources that help teachers and homeschoolers support struggling and reluctant learners. With experience as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, instructional coach, and now homeschooling my daughter with dyslexia and dysgraphia, I specialize in resources for ELA, math, and intervention that make learning engaging and accessible. I’m here to make your classroom or homeschooling experience run more smoothly—whether you’re looking for novel studies, differentiated lessons, or support materials for your struggling readers. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need something specific! I’m excited to be a part of your teaching journey. 😊

Teaching style

My teaching belief is simple: meet students where they are and help them get where they need to be. Learning should be engaging and fun, but also rigorous. High-quality lessons are all about balancing those elements. I focus on differentiated instruction, offering student choice, using differentiated materials, and adapting based on individual needs. Hands-on experiences and real-world connections are key to making learning meaningful. I incorporate Project-Based Learning and community service projects to help my students develop critical thinking and become engaged citizens. Staying up-to-date with the latest research is essential to improving student outcomes. I actively seek new knowledge and try innovative strategies. For example, I introduced flexible seating into my classroom in 2010 after researching its impact on focus—before it became a trend. Above all, I’m proud that my classroom was a place where students felt safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow—no matter their background.
