About the store
I started teaching with zero curriculum and I tried to quit within the first year. I was lesson planning every evening and weekend, had no life of my own, and still felt like I was failing my students. I never want anyone else to feel like this.
The goal of "Emma the Teachie" is to give you your time back. Every resource in my store is designed to be low prep and highly engaging - saving you time, while helping you deliver AMAZING lessons.

Teaching style
I place an emphasis on student-centered learning, using a variety of techniques. I encourage a growth mindset in my students, and use positive reinforcement liberally!

BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham University; Majoring in Biology.
PGCE in Secondary Science from Wolverhampton University (Teaching degree).
Teacher of 6 years in Secondary Schools, from Grades 6-12.
Experience in: Middle School Science, High School Biology and Chemistry, and a class equivalent to AP® Biology.
Leadership: Assistant Department Leader - I had responsibility for curriculum, enrichment, and performance in Grades 6-8.
