I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged and constructing their own learning. I see myself more as a learning guide than an "imparter of knowledge." I also believe that technology can greatly aid students in grasping concepts that can't be seen, such as protein synthesis or cellular respiration. To that end, I use many virtual experiences with my students, as well as utilizing an "in-class" flipped classroom, making my own videos as well as using those of other teachers. Demonstrations, hands-on activities, foldables ... all are useful and fun and help keep students engaged!
