Teaching style

I’m an impassioned teacher, working each day to bring joyful learning, inquiry, equity, and caring to my classroom community. I hope to bring knowledge and growth to my students through differentiated instruction that is responsive to their unique needs. It would be my pleasure to share my teaching philosophy, teaching experience, personal interests...my love of sports, coaching, and favorite student stories with you and your colleagues.

My own education history

I started my career as a project manager for the Colorado Department of Education and worked there for 5 years, where I managed the implementation of the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS), the accountability system that includes School and District Performance Frameworks, educator effectiveness, and the SchoolView Data Center. I then worked at the Denver Art Museum for 3 years as a technology program manager on some very fun exhibitions like Cartier and Star Wars! I'm also an avid fan of sports and competed in college as a shooting guard for my colleges basketball team. I decided coaching and teaching students was the best way I could share my experiences and wisdom. So, I decided to become a teacher. - Doctorate of Business Administration (Emphasis: Project Management in the Field of Education (in Colorado)) at Jones International University - Master of Arts Business Communication (Emphasis: Project Management) at Jones International University - Bachelor of Arts Speech Communication (Emphasis: Media Studies/Minor: Business) at Colorado State University, Fort Collins
