I have twelve years teaching experience in preschool, PreK, Kindergarten and First Grade. First grade is definitely where my heart is!
I firmly believe in a natural progression from hands-on to the abstract for my young learners. My years of experience have taught me the value in taking things step-by-step; that the structured progression from modeling to guided practice to independent practice is vitally important and can't be circumvented. It is my hope that my materials reflect my beliefs about the stages of learning for young children and that they will be helpful for other teachers to implement and enhance their instruction.
