I am a fifth-year Core French teacher at the secondary level. I LOVE creating resources for my classroom and for my students and the fact that teachers and students in all corners of the world can also use the resources I create is beyond exciting!
I incorporate a variety of strategies when teaching FSL and do not rely on one sole "way" of teaching. My goal is to teach grammar and vocabulary, practice by playing lots of games, and then to do a number of creative writing tasks as a final project. My FSL thematic units reflect a "little bit of everything" approach. I also try to target all four of the language acquisition competencies (production écrite, production orale, compréhension écrite, compréhension orale) All of my creating writing projects for FSL are a) structured and b) all completed in class. I do not assign homework and I do not allow students to take writing home -- otherwise, they will surely use Google Translate!
I have not received any formal awards but my students love French class, as they tell me! I strive to make French class/my classroom a stress-free, positive, and fun environment and I hope that my TPT store reflects that!
I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in French and History and a Bachelors of Education in French-language education and Social Studies.
