>I was a teacher in a LaSip program called Project Cypress held at Southeastern Louisiana University. This was a summer program for local teachers to provide instruction on using hands on lessons in science. It centered around Louisiana wetlands.
>Certified instructor for Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, Project Wet, and Aquatic Wild.
>Consultant for Project Recall.
>Member of the NSTA and the LSTA. I was a point of contact for NSTA and a presenter at the LSTA convention.
>During the school year 1999-2000 my students and I participated in the filming of a video for Louisiana Public Broadcasting. The video was filmed in my classroom showing us using journaling in a science lesson. This video was broadcasted through LPB and included in a video series for teachers.
>Workshops I've attended to become better educated and stay up to date on science topics: numerous workshops at both LIGO and SLU Turtle Cove Environmental Station, NASA workshops by the Evelyn
>Daniels Foundation, workshops for the Lake Pontchartrain Basin, Animal Tracks, and Wetshop (among numerous workshops) through the Louisiana Wildlife and Fishery. This past summer I attended a workshop at Loyola on using collapsible microscopes.
>Stemming off my certification for Project Wild I presented workshops at Waddill Outdoor Education Center to teacher participants.
