TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a teacher and a traveler with a passion for multicultural and global education. I am proud to have taught students from over 45 countries and every habited continent. I began teaching 2nd grade in 2017, and during that time was the lead social studies and close reading curriculum planner. Then, I taught internationally in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Peru. Most recently, I taught Early World History, English Literature, and Communication to international students at a preparatory school. As an avid traveler and language learner, I incorporate my experiences, research, and photography into my products. From living in Europe, Africa, and Latin America, I strive to make global education accessible to all.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I want my lessons to have real-world applications and prepare students to thrive in the 21st-century. I like to engage curious young learners in the process of discovering a new culture, a new language, or a new way of thinking. I create my resources with these in mind... ► Critical Thinking ► Multiliteracy ► Cultural Competence ► Global Awareness

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Launched in 2018, Globally Taught prepares young people to thrive in the 21st-century. With our programs and resources, students live lives of purpose and connection. The result of our programs is more peace and understanding between and beyond borders. I began selling my classroom resources on Teachers Pay Teachers in 2018 when I could not find culturally-relevant resources for my students. I strive to design high-quality resources and am continually improving my craft If you would like to follow my work, find me... ►@GloballyTaught on INSTAGRAM ►Globally Taught on FACEBOOK ►Globally Taught on PINTEREST ►BLOG at www.globallytaught.com/blog ►NEWSLETTER at www.globallytaught.com
