I have been teaching for more than 20 years! It seems like yesterday when I was a nervous, first-year teacher with 27 third graders! I owe quite a bit to that first class; they taught me so much about motivation, management, and the importance of building relationships. Teaching is a calling I embraced more than 20 years ago. Oh, the memories I have and continue to build!
Fun, active and creative! If I'm not having fun, how can my students? Lover of Whole Brain Teaching, Integrated Studies, Project-Based Learning, Number Talks, Hands-On Science and Children's Literature to name a few!
I have been honored to be selected as Teacher of the Year in three different schools. I have served as a mentor teacher to student teachers, building leadership teams, and a consultant to school faculties. Most importantly, I've had the honor of working with loads of fun and energetic children! This is my greatest honor.

I love traveling. My goal is to get a stamp from every Caribbean island! My heart is drawn to animals. I have five cats, two donkeys, a border collie, and a handful of cattle who keep me company and give me great stories to tell my students.
