TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for more than 20 years! It seems like yesterday when I was a nervous, first-year teacher with 27 third graders! I owe quite a bit to that first class; they taught me so much about motivation, management, and the importance of building relationships. Teaching is a calling that I embraced more than 20 years ago. Oh, the memories I have and continue to build!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Fun, active and creative! If I'm not having fun, how can my students? Lover of Whole Brain Teaching, Integrated Studies, Project-Based Learning, Number Talks, Hands-On Science and Children's Literature to name a few!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been honored to be selected as Teacher of the Year in three different schools. I have served as a mentor teacher to student teachers, building leadership teams, and a consultant to school faculties. Most importantly, I've had the honor of working with loads of fun and energetic children! This is my greatest honor.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's Degree Master's Degree

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love traveling. My goal is to get a stamp from every Caribbean island! My heart is drawn to animals. I have two cats who keep me company and give me great stories to tell my students.
