Experience

I specialise in ready-to-use resources for British, European and World History. With 10+ years' experience teaching History at secondary schools, I always aim to encourage high-quality thinking in my students through thorough preparation and top-notch resources.

Teaching style

I love creative and engaging lessons that are full of knowledge and rigour. My resources build up an understanding of the bigger picture through detailed knowledge of the past.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Seeing the 'click' in a student's eyes is my biggest reward. My teaching is informed by my own historical research, and my work can be found in the city archives of Mainz and Freiburg, Germany.

My own education history

I have a BA in History, English Lang. & Lit. and Education, a Master's from Oxford University in Historical Research and a PGCE from the same place.

Additional biographical information

Two inquisitive sons, a wonderful hubby and an allotment in London - I love mixing my life in the big city with snippets of my small town roots!
