I have fourteen years of elementary teaching experience in three different states. I spent four years teaching fifth and third grades in Utah, seven years teaching third grade in Colorado and one year teaching third and two years teaching second in grade Michigan.
I love differentiating for all learners, so reader's and writer's workshop, focusing on conferring with students are two of my favorite times of the school day! I am passionate about making sure every student is challenged at an appropriate level, and this is reflected in the products I offer. Differentiated third grade homework menus and math challenges & brainteasers are some of my favorite products that were originally created as I attempted to meet the needs of advanced students in my own classrooms.
As a last day gift I received a framed artwork from a student which states: SMITH POWER 100% smarts 100% kindness 1,000,000% fun! I'm pretty sure that counts as an award.

I live near Kalamazoo, Michigan with my hubby, son, and minpin Lily. I am a font enthusiast and have been known to retype entire documents solely for font control. I tried to get better about this, but it's only become worse as I create more and more TpT products. Now not only am I crazy about fonts, but I'm also wild about clip art! I hope to create print & go products that save teachers time and make students' classroom lives more engaging and enjoyable. Thanks for checking out my store!
