Seven years of experience teaching 12 different courses in English and social science with middle school, high school, and college students at four schools. I am founder and president of EmpoweringU LLC, where I design and lead empowerment programs for girls and boys. Teaching style

I create a warm, positive, supportive, friendly, compassionate environment for children and young adults to learn in so they feel comfortable to express themselves and process high level thoughts on global social issues in class discussion and their writing. I let my students know I care about them as individuals just as much as I care about them as students.
