I have supported multicultural urban youth populations and educators for nearly two decades. My students and participants have ranged in age from nursery school through high school and young adults. I have engaged court and gang involved, LGBT. teen mothers, and special needs populations. Throughout my career I've taught, counseled, ensured supports and academic intervention services, supervised, designed curriculum, and developed programs. A few of these programs include; Advisory/ Family Group, Conflict Resolution, Managing Difficult Behaviors, life, social and emotional skills, and Rites of Passage. I've also conducted staff professional development trainings on classroom management, program development and implementation, as well as conducted trainings on various other topics.

Informed Decisions was created to provide resources for teachers and counselors working with multicultural urban youth, teens, and young adults. Culturally, racially, and developmentally appropriate materials can be used to engage, educate, guide, and inspire our young people. They deserve to be afforded equal opportunities to become productive contributing members of society.
