I am an Advanced Academic Specialist and teacher of the Gifted and Talented in Texas. I've worked with kindergarten - fifth grade, and am currently focused on the upper elementary age (third-fifth grade).
I believe in meeting the needs of all learners, including the gifted learners, and supporting each child to reach their fullest potential. I don't believe in teaching to the test. I find value in authentic learning experiences, creativity, and student choice.

I received my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction of Language and Literacy. While completing my master's degree, I focused my research on differentiated instruction with a focus towards differentiating for the gifted learner.
Head to my Instagram @insidethegiftedclassroom to see many of my resources in action! When possible, I post pictures of my students working on the projects and activities I've created, along with pictures or videos of student work samples.
