Teaching style

My goal is for students to leave my classroom with skills they can use to independently create, compose, and consume any kind of music. In my choir classes I use moveable solfege with do-based minor, Gordon rhythm syllables, IPA, and Estill Voice Training.

My own education history

I have a Bachelor of Music Education with a Choral Emphasis from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and am working on a Master's in Teaching and Learning (anticipated May 2024).
