This cut and paste sort helps students practice identifying 3D shapes with curved, flat, or both surfaces. Use this during morning work, math centers, or reinforcement during your math lesson!
I use these posters in correlation with Saxon Phonics. They list the four final /k/ spelling rules:
- digraph ck after a short vowel
- k after a consonant or vowel digraph
- ke after a long vowel
- c at the end of a word with two or more syllables

This download includes five Daily 5 Rotation cards. These are great to laminate and give to each student at the start of each week. They start on the top rotation/center and follow the bookmark down throughout the week. Since there are five different bookmarks, your whole class won’t be at the same center at the same time!
Rotations include:
-Read to Someone
-Listen to Reading
-Read to self
-Word Work
-Work on Writing
This literacy activity is a great way to engage students in reading and practice grammar and language skills. As the student reads, they write down the nouns, verbs, and adjectives they come across in the text. This is a great, no prep activity for literacy centers!
Have your students write an alternate ending to their fictional text. This organizer gives plenty of room to write their new ending and draw a picture to go with it.

This activity helps students practice finding main idea and writing captions based on their nonfiction text. They draw a picture of the main idea of their text and then write a caption to go along with it. This is a great resource for guided reading!
I use this color poem when I introduce poetry to my students. This is also great to use as a Word Choice mini lesson with your 6 Traits writing! An example is provided.
Pass out bubble gum to the students. Give them a chance to chew it and practice making a bubble. Then pass out the differentiated organizer. There are three to choose from; low, medium, & high. They are writing an expository piece using transition words on how to make a bubble. When they are finished they cut and color a head (either boy or girl). Glue the head at the top of large pink construction paper and their writing at the bottom. Enjoy!
Included are:
1. Directions
2. Three differentiated

This brochure format for animal reports is an interactive, exciting way to organize facts and information. Photocopy both report pages back to back and then three fold the paper to make your brochure.

This worksheet is a great way to practice text to self connections. The lined paper helps early elementary students practice handwriting. They write their text to self connection and then draw a picture to illustrate their writing.
