Experience

I have been teaching for 9 years total. I am currently a reading interventionist. My background is in general elementary education and special education. I am also a published author.

Teaching style

I am a fun, loud, vibrant, educator who is always seeking ways to enhance lessons and bring learning to life. As an educator of color I am always hyper aware of how to ensure lessons reflect the students I work with. My weekly lessons include both modifications for the students in my class with learning disabilities, and depth and complexity worksheets and activities for my gifted learners.

My own education history

I attended Colorado State University for my undergraduate degree is Communication Studies with a minor in Ethnic Studies. I then went on to receive my Master's Degree in Education from Colorado State University as well. I am a proud first generation college graduate!
