This is a two-page assessment for fractions in first grade. This includes 10 questions covering halves and quarters on circles and rectangles. Students are asked to write the fraction to match a picture, both in "1/2" format and "one out of two" format. They will also need to color/shade in a picture fraction to match the description. In addition they will need to show how to equally divide circles and rectangles into 2 and 4 portions.

This is a great way to get students practicing and recognizing contractions! It's a classic memory game. It contains 28 sets of contractions (56 total cards) that students can use to play memory.
It works perfectly as a center activity!
All 28 contractions/56 cards can be a lot to use at one time, so I suggest choosing about 12 contractions for your students to use at a time, and switching them out as needed. Or you can separate it into two games with 14 contractions each.
