I've worn many hats throughout my career as an educator--classroom teacher, administrator, reading specialist, and instructional director--and in every position I have written curriculum materials. My last project, for example, was developing a comprehensive curriculum for a national preschool franchise. Now that I am semi-retired (which is a euphemism for "working harder than you've ever worked before"), I want to continue to share the work I love directly with teachers. Since being a seller on TPT is a new venture for me, I'm gradually building my list of products and adding new items every week. I'd love to hear from you and learn how to better meet your needs. Thanks for visiting my store!
My personal and professional beliefs about teaching and learning revolve around a few key themes: I believe in INTEGRATED THEMATIC TEACHING and design materials that can be used across the curriculum, especially in the areas of SCIENCE, NATURE, and SOCIAL STUDIES. I am an avid MONTESSORIAN, and my materials feature photographs and “real-life” original illustrations. I LOVE BOOKS! Content area take-home books not only help integrate learning, they also help strengthen school-home connections. In an increasingly-shrinking world, I believe in the importance of MULTICULTURAL LEARNING as a means of discovering our own cultural heritage and learning about the glorious mix of cultures around us.
