I have lived and taught English to young people in Europe for nearly 10 years. In the U.S. I've taught 2nd through 6th grade. My two boys were the "foreigners" in their school and since then I have developed a heart for our 2nd language kiddos!
My goal is to make my students active participants in learning through exploration, movement, and music.
I had the privilege of organizing a team of educators in my school to brainstorm ways to make the transition of our non-English speakers easier for our teachers AND students. The response has been unbelievable. Teachers can do awesome things when we put our heads together!! We should always be looking for ways to make our jobs as educators better!
I have a diploma in Sacred Music (flute), a bachelor's degree from Cedarville University in Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Gifted Education from Wright State University,
