Ten pages of nonsense words from MClass. 2nd Grade level. I send home weekly with my red students.

Use as a reference for your students as they are learning about money!

Have students write a base word and suffix to see the drop the e rule in place. This goes with second grade OG concept 67.

Thirty pages of high frequency second grade words. Pulled mostly from MClass PM pages of Word Reading. I send home with my low kids to practice. Could use in small groups or as an early finisher.

Have students cut the words. Decide if the schwa is in the initial or ending position. Glue in the correct spot.

Poster to hang in your room as you are teaching about consonant le. Count back three with me.

Students will play four games of tic tac toe reading consonant le words such as table and sizzle.

This goes along with 2nd grade OG lesson 75, Other Uses for Silent E. Have students read the words and sort into, magic e, soft c, soft g, or words can't end in i, j, u, v.

Send home with students monthly to practice reading common second grade words. These have been pulled from MClass PM word reading pages.

This free resource is 35 weeks (two sentences per day, five days a week) of ELA practice. Students will need to look for the error in the sentences and fix them. This is perfect for 2nd graders.

A chart/cheat sheet for "clock phrases"

Cut out the 30 y words and place them around the room. Have students walk around the room and place the y word in the correct category (/y/ /i/ /e/ /i/).

Hang up to teach the four sounds of y!

Have students color in the pop it to make an array. There is a repeated addition and multiplication version.

Hang up to reference the two new diagraphs that say /f/.

Show students the new sounds of ch - /sh/ and /k/.

Use as an assessment after teaching 2D shapes.

Give each student a card. Student will read their consonant le word, and then the next one to keep the game going. Good practice for students to see, hear, and read C-le words.

Pick 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 1/5, 1/6, or 1/8 for students to model in the four sections of the heart. Great for 2nd grade and an introduction to fractions.

Have students pick a number to represent in four different formats. Valentine's Day/heart themed.
