This episode is set on a remote island in the South Pacific threatened by rising seas, which becomes revelatory as he helps record a lost language. The focus is on the consequences of climate change and how it has impacted these island people. This is a perfect activity for a sub lesson. I have included the note catcher and answer key for episode 7 of Pole to Pole with Will Smith. This episode highlights how scientists are trying to find ways to combat climate change. I have shown this in my ELA classroom, but it would also work well in a science class.
