I have been teaching for a little over 12 years with experience in both general and special education. This is my 10th year working as an early interventionist teaching pre-k and kindergarten children with special needs. I have experience with self-contained, inclusion, reverse inclusion and mainstreaming.

I am totally a small group and one-on-one kind of teacher. I love finding a child's interest and building on it. I mostly use TEACCH and Conscious Discipline because it is what my school district encourages. I find it to be very effective and easy to make your own. I like using Power Points which incorporate music and photos of the children. I also love creating lots of hands-on materials that are fun and meaningful for my students.

I haven't received any honors or awards from my school district, but I feel honored to work with my students and their families everyday. A happy family and a successful student is reward enough for me :)
