I use this organizer when introducing sensory images. I like to print it on yellow paper. This year I gave every student a lemon and we discussed each sense and wrote the I can (see, smell, taste, etc.) statements. This really helped my students understand the different ways that authors use senses to describe.
The Reading Workshop guidelines are located in my room as well as in my student's Reading Notebooks. This is great to have on hand for a quick daily reminder.
Students can use this form to independently correct their assessments. This form allows the teacher and student to understand why an incorrect answer was chosen.
