This lesson talks about historical propaganda during the WWII. In particular, the implication and the powers of propaganda of the two main powers is discussed in detail. The individual activity asks students to use visual evidence for own interpretation of images in propaganda. The objective of the lesson is for students to learn the influence of propaganda on opinions, thoughts, beliefs and actions.
This lesson teaches students about the beginning of WWII in Poland. Students will learn about the relationship between Germany and Society Union in 1939, and the outcomes of the pact. This lesson ties in with "My Mother's Secret" novel. For the individual activity, students will explore 1 of the 4 topics with the help of historic films.

This worksheet allows students to recognize beginning letters to create sentences. Great activity for learning centres, as it requires minimal guidance. Each worksheet consists of sentences around specific sight words and requires students to think critically to fill in the missing letter.
This powerpoint trivia is a great way to introduce Grade 2 students to adjectives, test their ability to identify or correctly choose an adjective depending on the context of the sentence.
This worksheet asks students to list the reasons why their family is special. I use this activity after reading the book "A Family is a Family is a Family" by Sara O'Leary.

This activity allows students to practice their 'm' letter sound by recognizing some food items that begin with 'M'. The instructions are: students have to create an 'M' Restaurant menu with foods only starting with letters m. I've attached an example of images of foods from which students can copy from if they require extra assistance.
