Teaching style
Look at Language evolved from the need to get my students to go beyond only learning words to read assigned books and pass vocabulary tests.
The term and "Look at Language" exercises were a constant reminder to my students to examine the language they use and how language can be maneuvered to express oneself and communicate thoughts and ideas more deeply.
This approach began to jumpstart their minds and mindset to become better critical thinkers by looking at words and language critically in never before thought out ways.
