This is a step-by-step printable handout that teaches students how to create a six-pointed snowflake out of paper. This would be a great sub lesson, lesson on symmetry, positive/negative space, etc.
My students make collages with different sizes of snowflakes (we use post-it notes for the smaller ones!)

This is a fun project that introduces weaving on a paper plate! The finished product is a little yarn bowl. This download includes a step-by-step handout that will guide students in creating and completing their own plate weaving. This project could take as few as two class periods, or as many as five depending on how large the plates are, how close the students weave to the edge of the plate, and how intricate the patterns are.
