Parfaitement bilingue

Bonjour et bienvenue à mon petit coin de Teachers Pay Teachers! J'enseigne depuis 2015 en immersion française et pour le programme francophone à Vancouver. J'étais intervenante jeunesse dans une école avant de devenir enseignante- cette expérience m'a inspirée de poursuivre une carrière en éducation. Je me spécialise en français, années 6 à 12, avec un emphase particulier sur la langue parlée chez les élèves.  <p>Hello and welcome to my little corner of Teachers Pay Teachers! I've been teaching since 2015 in French Immersion and currently for the Francophone program in Vancouver, BC. I specialize in the French language at the high school level (with particular focus on students' speaking abilities). </p>

Je suis devenue prof car je voulais aider les jeunes et car j'adore ma langue. Mes cours reflètent donc cette philosophie en étant centrés sur l'élève, dynamiques, inclusifs. Comme un élève m'a écrit à la fin de l'année "Ta classe n'est pas une classe, mais une communauté". J'étais ravie! <p>I became a teacher because I wanted to help and support youth, and because I love the language. As such, my classes are student centred, dynamic, and inclusive. As one student wrote me at the end of the year, "Your class isn't a class, but a community". I was thrilled! </p>

Je suis franco-colombienne (francophone de la Colombie-Britannique!). J’habite à Vancouver avec mon mari (aussi prof), notre garçon d’un an et notre bouvier bernois. J’ai toujours parlé français, mais à l’âge de 13 ans, une enseignante a inspiré une quête qui dure toute la vie: de devenir, tout comme elle, parfaitement bilingue. <p>Comme plusieurs enseignants de français, j’ai souvent cherché sans succès en ligne pour des ressources et donc a dû créer les miennes à partir de zéro. Après avoir eu mon bébé, j’ai quitté ma salle classe pour travailler à temps partiel. Maintenant, je prends avantage des moments où mon fils est couché pour créer les ressources pour vous que j’aurais tant voulues quand j’enseignais à temps plein! Que ce soit en immersion ou dans les programmes francophones, en milieu minoritaire les élèves ont besoin de francisation. I live in Vancouver, BC, with my husband (also a teacher), our baby boy and our big Bernese Mountain dog. Since a teacher inspired me when I was 13, I've had a lifelong quest of becoming perfectly bilingual. </p> <p>After becoming a French Immersion teacher, I searched high and low for online ressources for my high school students, but I was often left empty handed. I, like many teachers, ended up creating my own from scratch. Since having my baby, I left my full time classroom behind.
