About the store
I’ve been teaching in various schools and environments from public to private, country to urban, from pk to middle, for over 13 years. I founded Picassa’s Palette in 2012 when I struggled to find the appropriate resources I needed to provide an enriching experience for my young artists that helped them connect their learning to their experiences and challenge them to stretching their inherent creative minds. Picassa’s Palette provides Art Education Resources to teachers of the visual arts. In my shop, you’ll find downloadable tools for teaching art and art-infused resources for teaching other subject areas like ELA and SEL. In my content, you’ll see how I use different resources in my own classroom and maybe even find out a little more about my own teaching journey.

I wrote this song to help my students remember the seven Elements of Art and to save my voice from having to sing it over and over!
The file is an m4v, which should play over QuickTime. Also, it will open in iTunes if you have a Mac.

Art Principles Game, Printable Cards "I Have, Who Has?"- Small Group Activity
Have your students practice the definitions of the Principles of Art (/Design) with this review game.
It's called "I Have, Who Has?" and the students read a term and another term's definition. They continue until they stop at the card they've started with.
Another thing you can do is have one student individually sort the cards in the progression.
I've included an answer key, so that way if you want, you can have one student serve as the judge to help the game move along in smaller groups.
