Colleen and Bo have been teaching in many capacities for the past 30 plus years. We have been naturalists at state, federal and non profit parks and nature centers, and have also taught pre-k through the university level.
This educational resource was developed by Helen Lovell-Wayne, it was targeted for 5th-grade students, but could be used for other age groups as well. This activity is an introduction to energy and electricity. It describes discusses the efficiency of the three common bulbs used in your home and school. Teaching style
We think the "hands-on" approach is the best way for students to gain knowledge. Having kids do something allows them to experience the content and become llife long learners.
