I am a 27-year veteran educator currently teaching in Kansas who has taught at every level from elementary to college. Most of my career has been spent teaching middle school, where I have taught Math, Social Studies, Reading, ELA, Journalism, Communications Media, and technology-focused electives. In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience developing curriculum, designing instructional materials, and mentoring new teachers.
Beyond K–12, I have taught online and hybrid college courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in Reading, Literacy, and Curriculum & Instruction. I have also created full online courses for universities looking to expand their digital offerings. Additional biographical information
I live on a 60-acre farm with three Golden Retrievers, two miniature horses, four goats, and one very confident barn cat. My home life brings balance to my work as an educator, and many of my ideas for creative lessons or digital projects come to me while walking my dogs on long hiking trails.
I also love exploring technology and digital creativity. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, learning new digital skills, photography, creating digital art, experimenting with game design, and spending time in nature. These passions fuel the products I create for teachers and students, including educational games designed to make learning joyful and meaningful.
