These final-draft writing pages can be used for any grade, or upper elementary specific to display final work in the hall or to be sent home to families. They include a title line, a full page of writing lines, and a written by space so students won't forget to put their names!

Here are 5 options for cute and bordered half sheets for your students final draft of a writing assignment. These are meant for primary grades and print two per sheet! These could also be used in upper grades for short poems or writing.

I use this as a behavior management strategy in my class. We talked about "slanting" expectations at the beginning of the year and now students know and understand it well. I have it hung in my room to reference.

Monthly coloring pages - Includes the names of the months in English and Spanish. Each page has cute/fun icons that match the month with weather, holidays, etc. I personally use them to mark a new month in my students writing/art portfolio that we will work on throughout the year.

In my classroom I use silent hand signals to have students let me know what they need rather than having them verbally interrupt or get up at undesired times. I have this hung in the front of my room for them to reference and we went over expectations early. It has greatly minimized the interruptions from students asking for things in the middle of lessons.

Behavior check-in tool - This can be given out when poor behavior occurs and lead the conversation afterwards with teacher - student and student - parent.

Coloring pages to use for fun or early finisher option

This book study can be used for book clubs, independent reading, or small groups. It focusses on the important elements of a chapter book and has a place for students to track their independent reading as well.

I made this worksheet to go along with the kids song "Las Calaveras" and we drew pictures to match what is happening at each hour in the song along with dance moves. Use this main character profile as part of your novel study when starting a new chapter book. Students can draw a picture of the character and make note of things like their character traits, thoughts/feelings, actions, likes/dislikes, family, etc.

Short creative writing option for early elementary

I used this with my higher level 3rd graders to tie together multiplication, addition, and subtraction through multiple steps and real world examples! You could also use it as an assessment or challenge homework sheet.
