The Dot Books Watch Me Read! series is a mission of the heart. We are a team of “forever” teachers, always seeking ways to enhance our students’ learning experiences. We have a combined 51 years in the field of education and this series is the initial installment of a tangible product stemming from years of envisioning means through which we can help students enhance their learning experiences. The Dot Books Watch Me Read! series is our first foray into creating and developing resources designed specifically to address the process of reading for early and emergent readers. Reading is fun! The Dot Books Watch Me Read! series’ intent is to reinforce that fun, while simultaneously emphasizing related essential concepts of print and foundational skills. Specifically, reading fluency skills. The Dot Books Watch Me Read! series provides ample practice for students to utilize “finger point reading” via our “Active Reader Fluency Line”. Our unique aid supports learners in the act of reading, compelling the learner to point to each word and move their finger smoothly, left-to-right, thereby, creating “active readers”. This process, coupled with the focus on the recognition, writing, reading, and retention of high frequency words, also known as “sight words”, make The Dot Books Watch Me Read! series is a must-have. We want our products to assist learners in achieving great gains, as well as increased confidence, in their reading skills.
