This is my 10th year of teaching in the same school district and school. In my 10 years, I have bounced around quite a bit! I started in 6th grade for two years. Although I really grew to LOVE 6th grade, a 2nd grade position opened up at my school, and I took the leap to be with the younger kiddos again! Then, the opportunity came for me to loop with my kiddos and teach 3rd grade. I jumped at this opportunity and loved being able to loop with my students. Then, I was offered a new position at our school teaching STEM and math. I did STEM rotation classes to preschool through 2nd grade. I also taught a STEM class to 3rd - 6th grade, as a replacement to their science classes. I also taught a section of 6th and 7th grade math during my time as the STEM teacher, as well as coach/co-teach 5th grade math. When the opportunity became available to move back to 3rd grade, I did that. I am still in 3rd grade now and loving it! Over the years, I have got to teach students from PK to 7th grade. I have the most experience in elementary and for now, that is where I plan to stay!
