I’m Desiree McNie, a New Zealand primary school teacher and International Literacy Consultant with over 20 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Literacy Education. I’m passionate about helping children become confident, thoughtful readers through engaging, high-quality literacy resources that are practical for teachers and meaningful for students.
My teaching approach combines a love of literature with research-based practices, including the Science of Reading, explicit comprehension instruction, differentiation, and inquiry-based learning.
