Teaching style

I believe in teaching ESL/EFL with fun, dynamic and effective lessons which engage the spectrum of learning styles - from Verbal-linguistic to Kinetic to Visual to Musical. My lesson and activities are designed to truly round-out the ESL/EFL teaching experience and grow the learner through multifaceted engagement. One of the greatest roadblocks teachers face is opening up students’ comfort zones. A relaxed, engaged and well-entertained student is likely to open up, remain alert, and internalize the lesson. Watching TV and film clips that relate to the lessons will lock in vocabulary and structures while proving that the material is relevant. Taking field trips and using English to interact in, interpret, and describe experiences will enliven the lesson for experiential learners. Acting as presenters, players and teachers to peers will solidify the lesson for kinesthetic learners. Performing karaoke will satisfy the audiophiles. The scenarios are limitless, but the objective is always the same – to provide adult ESL/EFL learners with energizing and diverse lessons, thereby giving each individual a chance to learn through his or her own style.
