Experience

In the 27+ years I've been in education I have taught 1st grade and 2nd grade. I have been a high school counselor, an elementary counselor, and am now a middle school counselor. I also provide consultative services for with large education companies, and provide professional development for school counselors and teachers.

Teaching style

I guide lessons, group counseling, and individual counseling with a kind and compassionate heart. Empathy and understanding is my goal when I work with children. I also work to dismantle and deconstruct systems of oppression through my work with children, families, and the community. My instruction and counseling is trauma informed.
