TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 for nearly 30 years. I have my masters in educational leadership and curriculum and look forward to sharing many of my ideas with all of you! I have spent a great deal of time attending professional development and doing my own research on educational best practices, brain research, and other cutting-edge trends in education because I believe students need highly trained teachers who understand WHY my resources are valuable; this is why I provide so many instructions, photos, and teaching tips with my resources. It's like a "mini" professional development session! I have also taught a graduate-level course in curriculum and instruction and enjoy sharing my love of teaching adults through the webinars, blog posts, and videos I share with teachers around the world. That being said--the fact that I am still a classroom teacher...every day "in the trenches" makes a difference--and it makes my resources classroom tested and approved!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a firm believer in helping students construct meaning and will do whatever it takes to make that happen! You may find us on the floor, working in teams, or experimenting in the halls--but you won't find us bored! We work hard and have fun doing it...all day long! Most of my resources encourage collaboration, deep thinking, and analyzing our work--because this is how we truly learn.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Not a bragger! ;)
