I wrote this program when I was taking an ethics in school guidance class. It is a research-based, practical program that you can easily use with middle-school students. It may also be adapted for high school. This program is flexible enough to be used in 1:1, small group or whole-class settings. Help your students become self-responsible! Teach them a growth mindset! Based on Manitoba Curriculum, but also good for meeting goals in BC's new curriculum.
These are the plans I used to coach my sons's soccer team when he was 3 and 4 years old. This would also be great for a mini-soccer unit with Kinders or Grade 1s. These outlines are simple and ready to go! Use as is, or tweak it to suit your style.
Students can learn about the United Nations, note-making and critical thinking using these ready-to-go pages. Includes reliable sources of information about The United Nations.
This word work is still a bunch of fun for older students, but not too immature for their tastes. Some familiar exercises like Rainbow Writing will still be popular if you let them use markers, while the complex task of rhyming and building smaller words will adequately challenge them. I usually copy page 1 in coloured ink and do the rest on coloured paper in black ink. I'd love feedback if you have ideas I could add to the package!
This author study gives students 4 project options with specific criteria for each, making expectations transparent for students through rubrics that are compatible with the 6 + 1 Writing Traits and report cards. Easy to use. Ready to go.
