We believe that learning happens most successfully when students are active and engaged. Though that is not an original idea, our goal is to teach to the best of our abilities while staying true to that belief. A visit to either one of our classrooms will show students up, moving, sharing, laughing and actively seeking their learning. We want students to feel invested in what happens in our classrooms.

We met in the education program at UTA and were married a year after graduation. We are on a quest to visit every state in our country. After many years of wanting a child we welcomed our twin girls in January 2017. At the end of last school year we decided that Tammy would take some time away from the classroom to spend quality time with our toddler twins.
