Do-Now Math Drills each contain between 28 and 44 questions. They are used in my classroom as the “Do-Now.” I give students between 8-15 minutes to complete them, and then we spend the same amount of time reviewing. I use this as a tool, to spiral back to topics that students may have forgotten, to preview topics that are coming up, and to go over prerequisites for lessons we are doing that week. On some weeks, I give a quiz on Friday, to assess how students did on all of the topics covered.
This is a summer packet designed for students who have worked on 7th Grade Common Core Standards and are entering Grade 8. An exemplar is included.
