Teaching style
My background is in teaching at a technical college in North Carolina, where I taught Graphic Design History, Illustration, and an Animation course. My approach was always hands-on and creative — I believe students learn best when they can experiment, explore, and bring their own ideas to life.
That same philosophy guides the resources I create for teachers today. Whether it’s clipart, color-by-number activities, no-prep worksheets, or classroom crafts, my goal is to make materials that are engaging, flexible, and easy for you to adapt to your own teaching style.

Awards & shining teacher moments
One of my proudest accomplishments has been becoming a published author on Amazon. I’ve created several coloring books, written and illustrated children’s stories, and also published short stories for adults as well as publishing my first novel in 2025. Expanding into books has been a way to share my creativity with an even wider audience, and it inspires the classroom resources I design for teachers here on TPT. My own education history
I earned my A.A.S. in Graphic Design in 2001 and later returned to the classroom as an instructor, teaching Illustration, Graphic Design History, and Computer Animation (using Flash) at several community colleges in North Carolina. My time as both a student and teacher gave me a strong foundation in design and a passion for hands-on, creative learning — something I carry into the resources I create today.
Additional biographical information
Outside of creating resources for teachers, I spend a lot of time making fun videos on YouTube and Facebook, illustrating, writing, and exploring other creative outlets. I’ve published coloring books, children’s stories, and short fiction for adults, and I also enjoy working on my handmade online shop offering original art, handmade candles, wax melts, and home décor. When I’m not in “art mode,” I love reading, fitness, raising finches and getting outside for fresh air and inspiration. Creativity has always been a big part of my life, and I enjoy sharing that passion through everything I make.
